A material that has been growing in popularity and diversity this year is polymer clay, an art medium that is known for its versatility & pliability to work with. It is an oven bake modelling material composed of polymers, resins & colouring. In other words a type of PVC plastic that you can heat to harden. It's light weight, relatively easy to get hold of and though its been used for crafts for a while but has had a resurgence as a jewellery material.
You can now find makers all over the world who use clay as a medium and not just shapes but detailed artistic designs. Clay is its own category of jewellery and I see it more and more at markets here in London. The most popular pieces are earrings but there are a few broaches and necklaces in there too.
Many of them are so popular they have to do product drops and sell out pretty quickly, so have an explore of their accounts find the dates to keep an eye out for and grab yourself a wearable masterpiece.
